Enrique is an Attorney at Law admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and a Certified Public Accountant, member of the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Enrique earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Management Information Systems and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from the University of Dayton in 2009. Thereafter, he became a Certified Public Accountant in 2011 and completed his Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2014.
Before joining the firm, Enrique was a Senior Tax Consultant at BDO Puerto Rico, where he provided tax consulting services for high net worth individuals and entities, focused mainly on non-residents individuals and foreign entities relocating to Puerto Rico to benefit from the Act 20 and Act 22 tax exemption laws. His experience includes dealing with transfer pricing issues, federal and international taxation, as well as the negotiation of tax incentives and the implementation of tax strategies. He has also assisted with closing agreements and private letter rulings with the Puerto Rico Treasury Department on various tax matters.
Additionally, Enrique has experience in due diligence procedures for a Merger and Acquisition transaction, as well as other corporate acquisitions and inbound and outbound reorganizations.
